Warm Butterbeer from 1855 alcohol free

Ingredients
  

  • 4.5 TBSP butter not margarine
  • 4.5 TBSP powdered sugar or super fine granulated sugar
  • 1 TBSP molasses or golden molasses I didn't notice a difference
  • 2 cups milk 2% or Whole milk will taste more authentic and make the butterbeer creamier
  • whipping cream homemade always tastes better

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a pot over LOW heat.
  2. Add sugar and stir till dissolved
  3. Add molasses, and boil for about 5 minutes
  4. Turn down heat and add milk, warming/heating the mixture to your liking.
  5. Serve in hot cocoa mugs and top with whipped cream
